This o-ring is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 250 mm (9.843 in), a cross section of 6 mm (0.236 in), and an outside diameter of 262 mm (10.31 in), catalogued under part number V6X250. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or hot water and steam are present.
