Part number V6X288 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 288 mm (11.339 in), a cross section of 6 mm (0.236 in), and an outside diameter of 300 mm (11.81 in). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or amines will shorten service life.
