The V7X297.8 is a black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 297.8 mm (11.724 in), a cross section of 7 mm (0.276 in), and an outside diameter of 311.8 mm (12.28 in). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. Expect good resistance to many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

It sees regular use in chemical processing, semiconductor equipment, and oil and gas.
