An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Expect good resistance to chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving ketones and esters or amines call for a different compound.
