Ordered as V5X415, this is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 415 mm (16.339 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 425 mm (16.73 in). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or amines are present.
