The V2X44 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 44 mm (1.732 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 48 mm (1.89 in). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against many acids, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to ketones and esters or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
