V2X45 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 45 mm (1.772 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 49 mm (1.93 in). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. It resists many acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
