Ordered as V4X7, this is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 7 mm (0.276 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 15 mm (0.59 in). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or hot water and steam are present.

It sees regular use in oil and gas, semiconductor equipment, and high-temperature process equipment.
