METRIC NITRILE V SEAL 18A (Type A)

FVB-0018-A is a Buna-N (Nitrile) Type A V-Ring Seal built to a nominal shaft size of 18A. In service, this v-ring seal stretches onto a shaft and seals axially against a counterface, shedding contamination by centrifugal action.

This material stands up to many alcohols, propane and butane, and water. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Exposure to polar solvents or strong acids will shorten service life.
