METRIC NITRILE V SEAL 55S (Type S)

Ordered as FVB-0055-S, this is a Buna-N (Nitrile) Type S V-Ring Seal built to a nominal shaft size of 55S. The v-ring seal protects a main seal by keeping abrasive contamination away from the sealing lip.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for strong abrasion and tear resistance, low compression set under sustained load. It resists petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and hydraulic fluids. It should not be specified for service in automotive brake fluid or strong acids.
