METRIC NITRILE V SEAL 85A (Type A)

Part number FVB-0085-A is a Buna-N (Nitrile) Type A V-Ring Seal built to a nominal shaft size of 85A. A v-ring seal installs without tools and seals against the face of a housing or bearing.

This material stands up to petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. It should not be specified for service in ozone and direct sunlight or strong acids.
