Ordered as FVV-0010-A, this is a Viton® (FKM) Type A V-Ring Seal. The v-ring seal protects a main seal by keeping abrasive contamination away from the sealing lip. Source specification: 9.5 - 11.5 X 9 X 3 V-seal.

This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, aggressive chemicals, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or amines are present.

Common environments for this compound include automotive fuel systems, semiconductor equipment, and high-temperature process equipment.
