METRIC FLUOROELASTOMER V SEAL TYPE A

Ordered as FVV-0045-A, this is a Viton® (FKM) Type A V-Ring Seal. The v-ring seal protects a main seal by keeping abrasive contamination away from the sealing lip.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. Exposure to ketones and esters or amines will shorten service life.
