METRIC FLUOROELASTOMER V SEAL TYPE A

Ordered as FVV-0120-A, this is a Viton® (FKM) Type A V-Ring Seal. The v-ring seal stretches onto a shaft and seals axially against a counterface, shedding contamination by centrifugal action.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to many acids, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Exposure to ketones and esters or hot water and steam will shorten service life.

Typical settings include aerospace, high-temperature process equipment, and oil and gas.
