METRIC FLUOROELASTOMER V SEAL TYPE S

Ordered as FVV-0160-S, this is a Viton® (FKM) Type S V-Ring Seal. The v-ring seal stretches onto a shaft and seals axially against a counterface, shedding contamination by centrifugal action.

It resists chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Verify compatibility before use with low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam.

Typical settings include aerospace, semiconductor equipment, and chemical processing.
