V RING L STYLE VITON 450 MM SHAFT

Ordered as FVV-0450-L, this is a Viton® (FKM) Type L V-Ring Seal. The v-ring seal protects a main seal by keeping abrasive contamination away from the sealing lip.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or amines are present.

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, oil and gas, and high-temperature process equipment.
