Product Specification

-
The HB90010 is an AS568-010 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 0.239 in (6.07 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.379 in (9.63 mm). This back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

The material holds up against propane and butane, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for strong abrasion and tear resistance, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Applications involving strong acids or automotive brake fluid call for a different compound.

Common environments for this compound include hydraulic and pneumatic systems, agricultural equipment, and general industrial maintenance.

Stocked as HB90010 and sold individually. Unit weight is approximately 0.052 g and nominal inside diameter is listed as 1/4 inch. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
