8-217 BLACK BUNA 90D BACK-UP RING

The HB90217 is an AS568-217 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.449 in (36.8 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Buna-N (Nitrile) offers an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and low compression set under sustained load. The material holds up against hydraulic fluids, propane and butane, and water. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where polar solvents or strong acids are present.
