8-264 BLACK BUNA 90D BACK-UP RING

This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-264 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 7.484 in (190.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.762 in (197.15 mm), catalogued under part number HB90264. It allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

The material holds up against water, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where automotive brake fluid or ozone and direct sunlight are present.
