Part number HB90282 is an AS568-282 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.233 in (412.32 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

This material stands up to propane and butane, hydraulic fluids, and petroleum-based oils.
