8-365 BLACK BUNA 90D BACK-UP RING

Ordered as HB90365, this is an AS568-365 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 6.975 in (177.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.395 in (187.83 mm). The back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for low compression set under sustained load and economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. It resists water, petroleum-based oils, and propane and butane. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where polar solvents or ketones are present.
