8-434 BLACK BUNA 90D BACK-UP RING

APG stocks the HB90434, an AS568-434 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.6 in (142.24 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.15 in (156.21 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

This material stands up to greases and lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and water. Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight are present.
