Part number HB90441 is an AS568-441 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 6.975 in (177.17 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.525 in (191.14 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

It resists many alcohols, propane and butane, and hydraulic fluids. Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
