8-461 BLACK BUNA 90D BACK-UP RING

Part number HB90461 is an AS568-461 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.505 in (419.23 mm). A back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Expect good resistance to greases and lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and many alcohols. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
