Product Specification

-
This o-ring is supplied in AS568-244 black HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 4.234 in (107.54 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.512 in (114.6 mm), catalogued under part number HSN70244. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile, excellent abrasion and tear strength. Expect good resistance to heat and oxidation, ozone and weathering, and modern refrigerants. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It should not be specified for service in esters or chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Typical settings include oilfield and downhole equipment, automotive air conditioning, and engine timing systems.

This item is sold individually under part number HSN70244. Unit weight is approximately 4.077 g. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. Not finding the exact configuration you need? APG cross-references from prints, samples and competitor part numbers.
