Part number HQ4022 is an AS568-022 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.989 in (25.12 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.129 in (28.68 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Buna-N (Nitrile) offers low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The compound resists propane and butane, water, and greases and lubricants. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
