HQ4030 is an AS568-030 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.614 in (41 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.754 in (44.55 mm). In service, this quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Expect good resistance to many alcohols, propane and butane, and hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Exposure to ketones or polar solvents will shorten service life.
