The HQ4034 is an AS568-034 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.114 in (2.9 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.254 in (57.25 mm). This quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Expect good resistance to many alcohols, propane and butane, and petroleum-based oils. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in automotive brake fluid or polar solvents. The profile itself contributes lower compressive load required to achieve a seal and a parting line located away from the sealing surface.
