This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-035 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 2.239 in (56.87 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.379 in (60.43 mm), catalogued under part number HQ4035. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. This material stands up to greases and lubricants, water, and propane and butane. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Exposure to strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight will shorten service life.
