Ordered as HQ4047, this is an AS568-047 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.489 in (114.02 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.629 in (117.58 mm). The quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Expect good resistance to greases and lubricants, propane and butane, and petroleum-based oils. Buna-N (Nitrile) offers strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
