HQ4108 is an AS568-108 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.237 in (6.02 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.443 in (11.25 mm). In service, this quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The material holds up against petroleum-based oils, water, and propane and butane. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
