The HQ4114 is an AS568-114 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.612 in (15.54 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.818 in (20.78 mm). This quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) offers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The material holds up against propane and butane, many alcohols, and water. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
