This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-120 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile built to an inside diameter of 0.987 in (25.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.193 in (30.3 mm), catalogued under part number HQ4120. It provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

The compound resists many alcohols, hydraulic fluids, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) offers the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to strong acids or ketones will shorten service life.
