APG stocks the HQ4121, an AS568-121 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.049 in (26.64 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.255 in (31.88 mm). A quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Expect good resistance to greases and lubricants, petroleum-based oils, and many alcohols. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to ozone and direct sunlight or strong acids will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes lower compressive load required to achieve a seal and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
