The HQ4122 is an AS568-122 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.112 in (2.84 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.318 in (33.48 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

It resists water, hydraulic fluids, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for low compression set under sustained load, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or automotive brake fluid are present.
