The HQ4124 is an AS568-124 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.237 in (31.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.443 in (36.65 mm). This quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

It resists propane and butane, many alcohols, and petroleum-based oils. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Verify compatibility before use with automotive brake fluid or strong acids.
