The HQ4139 is an AS568-139 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.175 in (55.25 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.381 in (60.48 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Expect good resistance to water, greases and lubricants, and hydraulic fluids. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ketones or polar solvents call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in fluid power, general industrial maintenance, and agricultural equipment.
