HQ4147 is an AS568-147 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.675 in (67.95 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.881 in (73.18 mm). In service, this quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, low compression set under sustained load. The material holds up against propane and butane, water, and many alcohols. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
