The HQ4151 is an AS568-151 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.987 in (75.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.193 in (81.1 mm). This quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. The compound resists petroleum-based oils, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ozone and direct sunlight or ketones call for a different compound. The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and a parting line located away from the sealing surface.
