**4157-366Y MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

The HQ4157 is an AS568-157 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.487 in (113.97 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.693 in (119.2 mm). This quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

This material stands up to greases and lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and many alcohols. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Exposure to automotive brake fluid or ozone and direct sunlight will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and two sealing bands per contact face rather than one.

It sees regular use in automotive, construction equipment, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
