*4161-366Y MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

The HQ4161 is an AS568-161 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). This quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Expect good resistance to greases and lubricants, propane and butane, and many alcohols. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Applications involving polar solvents or ketones call for a different compound. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.

Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across general industrial maintenance, fluid power, and agricultural equipment.

HQ4161 ships individually. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation. If you need a size, durometer or compound that is not listed, APG can cross-reference from a print, a sample or a competitor part number.
