Ordered as HQ4164, this is an AS568-164 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 6.237 in (158.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.443 in (163.65 mm). The quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Expect good resistance to water, hydraulic fluids, and petroleum-based oils. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in polar solvents or automotive brake fluid.
