APG stocks the HQ4169, an AS568-169 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 7.487 in (190.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.693 in (195.4 mm). A quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. This material stands up to petroleum-based oils, greases and lubricants, and water. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and two sealing bands per contact face rather than one.

Typical settings include automotive, construction equipment, and fluid power.
