4171-366Y MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-171 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 7.987 in (202.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.193 in (208.1 mm), catalogued under part number HQ4171. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. It resists propane and butane, petroleum-based oils, and many alcohols. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones or ozone and direct sunlight. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and two sealing bands per contact face rather than one.

You will find this material specified across general industrial maintenance, agricultural equipment, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
