The HQ4207 is an AS568-207 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.546 in (13.87 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.824 in (20.93 mm). This quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

This material stands up to greases and lubricants, propane and butane, and petroleum-based oils. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). The profile itself contributes resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings and two sealing bands per contact face rather than one.

It sees regular use in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, agricultural equipment, and construction equipment.
