Ordered as HQ4211, this is an AS568-211 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.796 in (20.22 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.074 in (27.28 mm). The quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and low compression set under sustained load. Expect good resistance to many alcohols, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to automotive brake fluid or ketones will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
