APG stocks the HQ4213, an AS568-213 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.921 in (23.39 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.199 in (30.45 mm). A quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs, strong abrasion and tear resistance. It resists greases and lubricants, many alcohols, and propane and butane. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to ketones or polar solvents will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings and two sealing bands per contact face rather than one.
