4218-366Y MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

Part number HQ4218 is an AS568-218 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.234 in (31.34 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.512 in (38.4 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. This material stands up to hydraulic fluids, water, and many alcohols. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in polar solvents or ketones. The profile itself contributes resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings and a parting line located away from the sealing surface.

You will find this material specified across general industrial maintenance, construction equipment, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Reference part number HQ4218 when ordering; the item is sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 1 1/4 inch. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation.
