The HQ4246 is an AS568-246 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.484 in (113.89 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.762 in (120.95 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Expect good resistance to hydraulic fluids, many alcohols, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to polar solvents or automotive brake fluid will shorten service life.
