The HQ4248 is an AS568-248 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.734 in (120.24 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.012 in (127.3 mm). This quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

It resists many alcohols, propane and butane, and hydraulic fluids. Buna-N (Nitrile) offers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer.
